Pacific Northwest Lepidopterists' Workshop - 2017

The Pacific Northwest Lepidopterists' Workshop will have its meeting at the OSU Corvallis campus on October 21nd & 22rd, 2017*.  The program has been taking place for over 30 years in the fall and is a venue where local butterfly collectors and enthusiasts in general can meet, share their observations, show newly obtained material and talk about their most recent field experiences.  If you're interested in becoming a butterfly collector, there's no better place than this to come and meet people who have been collecting in the PNW and elsewhere their entire lives.

The meeting schedule generally includes mixers as well as informal presentations by attendees related to butterflies and moths of the PNW.  A keynote speaker presents in the evening, afterwhich attendees have dinner at a local dining establishment.

*This year's meeting has late Museum Research days on Monday, October 23rd and Tuesday October 24th.  These have been created to give attendees from out of town a chance to work with the OSAC collection, which is not generally possible on Saturday and Sunday of the workshop. These new workshop events are by pre-arrangment only.  The main workshop events will commence on Saturday and run through Sunday mid-day (as in past years). If you are from out of town, and are conducting research related to OSAC specimens, please contact the curator: christopher.marshall@oregonstate.edu to make arrangments.
