The Oregon State Arthropod Collection maintains a small library of books, journals and reprints, primarily related to insect taxonomy and systematics. In 2006 we began an effort to inventory the library and produce a searchable card catalog to our library materials. So far, we've managed to database our books, and are in nearly done databasing our journals. The sizeable reprint collection will take a number of years to database.
New books are donated each year by OSU faculty, students and local entomologists. Additionally our Museum Fund, has allowed us to purchase a few books. We hope that this fund will continue to grow so that the collection can keep pace with the latest taxonomic classifications and descriptive systematic works available.
